Edward Kienholz & Nancy Reddin Kienholz
Reception: February 11, 2004, 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

The Braunstein/Quay Gallery presents the last collaborative works by Edward Kienholz and Nancy Reddin Kienholz. This is the first exhibit in San Francisco since 1993.

Known for their tough and compelling large-scale assemblage tableaux, the Kienholzes have explored two great issues from time immorial: living and dying. Within the framework of their concerns, other issues appear: loneliness, war, poverty, decay, corruption, and abuse. Their tableaux are in major museum collections throughout the word.

Since Ed Kienholz's death in 1994, Nancy Reddin Kienholz has continued working on her own and will present three assemblages from her new series.
