Artist Bio

Bay Area ceramic and installation artist Bean Finneran fills the gallery with cutting edge sculptures constructed of thousands of hand-rolled clay curves, photograph details from the constructions, and a new body of work created from brightly glazed industrial bricks. Essentially a minimalist, the installations that she calls Nests, Cones, and Rows allude to nature in their patterning, and reflect the marshlands where she lives and works.

Bean Finneran recently had her first solo museum exhibition at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, Missouri.
